2014 was the start of a new chapter in my life. at times, seasons of uncertainty are when Godspeaks most.
In these moments he may speak to you, this wisdom in quiet time with his word, or prayer. for me it's relationship with people he brings into my life Sometimes, he puts people in our journey's path who remind us who we belong to. These people overflow with a grace, positive outlook, willing heart & a giving spirit through faith in Christ. Happy 25th Birthday Michele Feagins! Thank you for the example you set, & the friend you are... Enjoy 25, is a goodn.

Veterans day: Thank you!

To all of my family & friends, who served in the many different branches of our military. I know a simple thank you doesn't match  up to your service & sacrifice. But, because of you I can worship my God, read any book i choose, & watch all of or younger generations sleep peacefully in the night. For all that, all i can say is, THANK YOU! WE LOVE YOU! MAY GOD BLESS, & KEEP YOU!

The girl with steel flowers in her hair: Prayers for whitney Bailey.

Listen up people, please! Serious Prayer request! This is Whitney. She is a friend of mine, a very important friend. I've told you about her before. Talked about essays she's written Any many other cool things. You can also Check out her public speaking page on FB. She Graduated from SFA & currently going to grad school for special Education. This is a very powerful voice for all people & especially those touch by physical disability A big influence on me & my on goals for teaching, at some point. Anyway, A few days ago... Her baclofen pump malfunctions, which is extremely serious . She is in the hospital and slowly improving. I have another friend who this happened to a few years ago. It can be a challenge to solve this problem. Whitney is always up for a challenge. But, if all i can do is tell you about her & ask you to pray with me Holding her & family up to the healing hands of God. Than that's what i'm going to do. Will you please pray with me for Whitney & the Bailey family??


Thank you all so much for all of the prayers & kind words for a very influential friend of mine. Some of you, i don't even know, but your friends of Whitney's & let me say without hesitation, if you're a friend of hers your a friend of mine, i mean that. This is a very powerful young woman. She's cutting a new road & raising the bar for what's possible for people in the "disability community" She's made it her personal mission to destroy the old, naive, ignorant, ideas that society tells someone with physical challenges. I admire that most about Whitney Bailey.

"Whitney sat in her chair for most of the day and has been a lot less spastic. "  She is tired & tight but moving forward from what i cam understand & will go through inpatient rehab When her doctors & family are for sure she's out of the woods & before returning to to grad school. "

Look, i'm doing this for two reasons The first & biggest is, I believe in the power of prayer. it changes things. & the second is, there is too much misguided ignorance in this world. & ever since i've known Whitney Bailey, she's made it her goal through teaching, speaking, writing, & her own actions to defeat those misconceptions & doing it with an overwhelming positive attitude.And one hell of a smile.

Please continue praying. The world needs this girl.

Atrophy: The muscle and the relationship.

muscle atrophy, can occur over time when the musical goes without use or exercise. I know it well. I also know that the human relationship can suffer from atrophy as well. If it be friendship, family relationship, or the relationship with your significant other. If not properly maintained or due to  significant nerve damage the muscle grows frail shaky and weak. This goes on long enough, our muscles and bodies are never the same. Our relationships are the most significant treasure granted to us in this life. If damaged by our actions, words, or neglect long enough, atrophy robs our relationship of life just like it would your bodies or like it did my legs.

Our choices change the lives of others, not just our own.

If you don't get this, well, that's why its my blog and not yours. There's people I don't understand either.... Not sure that will change.

The love i have for my friends, Happy New year!

New years eve being my father and step mother's wedding anniversary they're out for dinner and a movie. I'll  have a quiet night of reading, film watching, and reflection. upon all the amazing support i have gotten from my friends/family how thankful i am to talk with you, to see proof of God in the love you have for others and devotion you have for your family and children. The determination you have for overcoming your challenges living your life to the fullest, and lighting the world up with your grace and smile. To live is to be both art, and artist. Don't waste your paint! Happy new year everyone! May God bless you and keep you!

Phil Robertson :True to beliefs and convictions.

Since when did a man standing by his values and spiritual Beliefs make him a bigot? Oh, wait.... it doesn't. 

Those comments were NOT homophobic. Or made out of hate. They were based on HIS personal beliefs rooted in THE Bible and the word of God. if you disagree with Mr. Robertson's beliefs as a Christian, or my beliefs as a Christ follower, that is your right to disagree. But, you shouldn't change your beliefs to suit me. And i won't change my beliefs to suit you. if we have to change our beliefs Just to keep peace and please each other then we strip peace of all its very meaning, and value. People need to stop trying to make an honorable man into a man of hate. It's okay to disagree. Its NOT okay to make a man into something he is not because of that disagreement. 

What happened to the melting pot?!!!

America was the land of many cultures, many religions, many ideas. Our country was founded on the idea that we have a right as human beings to peacefully build the core of our lives around what we feel in our hearts to be the sacred truth, and to do everything we can to live out that truth with every sunrise. To lead our children down the path with grace, honor, love, peace, Humility and conviction to what WE believe to be THE TRUTH. ,

In our country you chose the path you follow, The Robertson family Chose Christianity. And so do I, The one i see as the sacred and Holy truth. 

What is Any core belief without convictions? NOTHING.

Now, i know, as someone that struggles with writing, and grew up around three older brothers. The meaning behind what you're trying to say and the words that find their way out are often two different things.

The words that were used By Mr. Robertson to express his beliefs and convictions  may not have been the words other Christians (including myself.) Would have used. But, the faith that those beliefs are grounded in is strong, true, and biblical.   

TO ATTACK PEOPLE FOR LIVING THEIR PEACEFUL TRUTHS AND CONVICTIONS. THAT'S NOT OF A WORLD I WANT TO BE A PART OF.       



To remain true to our faith in the teachings of the light that is our saving grace in Jesus Christ. That is to be a Christian.

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. – Proverbs 2:1-5 (NIV)
